WE ARE VISUAL STORYTELLERS

Coolamon Creative is a small creative business based in Alice Springs and Townsville with clients from all over Australia.

Run by two sisters who share a strong passion for visual storytelling, we specialise in producing high quality and engaging resources.

We are 100% Aboriginal owned and operated.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the Arrernte people as the Traditional Owners of Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

We also acknowledge the Wulgurukaba and the Bindal people as the Traditional Owners of Townsville, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

What We dO

Illustration

We create culturally sensitive illustrations using both digital and traditional methods. Each piece is tailored to suit your audience and project needs.

Motion Graphics

Our 2D motion graphics are an engaging form of storytelling that can help communicate complex ideas. We can handle everything from script writing, visual design and voiceover management.

Graphic Recording

We capture conversations and presentations in real-time through visuals, making it easier for audiences to understand, engage with, and remember the key points. Learn more about what graphic recording is here. We can also provide graphic recording services virtually, as well as face to face. Our inhouse graphic recorder, Sammy, is an associate member for Graphic Recorders Australia.

Aboriginal Contemporary Art

We create artwork by working in a range of artistic techniques and draw inspiration from contemporary influences. Our work is meaningful and reflects our own individual identities and experiences.

Infographics

Visual representations of information, data and knowledge can make it more accessible and engaging. We can create small to large scale infographics, in a range of styles (hand drawn to polished visuals).

Print and Digital Design

We design booklets, annual reports, flip charts, communication cards, education resources and other similar design projects.

Photography

Gabby is our inhouse photographer and can capture workshops, small events, gatherings and corporate photos. We also offer small-scale video production for events, workshops and a range of projects.

Samantha and Gabrielle are both proud Dagoman/Wardaman women, who grew up in many remote Aboriginal communities in the Top End and Central Australia. Later in life, after both studying at university and working in the areas of Aboriginal Health, Government, Non-profit organisations, and gaining small business experience, they combined their skills to form ‘Coolamon Creative’.

We have worked on many different projects. Some of our clients include NT Health, SA Health, Tourism NT, Fujitsu, NACCHO, Menzies, Lowitja Institute, Life Ed Australia, IWDA, and many universities and organisations across Australia.
